OFF SEASON HOURS: SATURDAY 08.00 - 6:00PM SUNDAY 8:00AM -5:00PM MONDAY 8:00AM - 4:00PM FRIDAY 8:00 - 5:00PM CLOSED TUESDAY -WED- THURSDAY UNLESS WE ARE HERE.

CURRENT CONDITIONS: Fall foliage is in high gear and colors abound. Looks like peak weekend. Park Visitor Center showers, bathrooms and laundry closed for the season. Witchers Cove boat ramp is closed for the season. North Shore boat ramps open half hour before sunrise to half hour after sunset. Most campsites are open. All electric sites open. Morning temps in the 30’s daytime 70’s and up. Weekend weather report looks great.

WATER CLARITY: It’s a mixed bag. The West end is pretty bad. Lots of crud in the water. But it seems to be concentrated there with the rest of the lake seeing better conditions.

RENTAL BOAT FOR SALE: We have one used 2014 16’ Lund Adventure Series boat and 15HP Yamaha motor available to purchase. Does not include trailer $1499.00 obo. These 16’ Lunds are great fishing boats for this lake. Call 719-748-0317 for additional info or appointment

FALL/WINTER SEASONS: As Fall officially begins on Sunday the 22nd and the countdown begins for ice fishing, anticipation grows for the next phase of catching here at Eleven Mile. We love Fall. The colors, the mild days, crisp nights, no crowds and the catching. As the water temp drops the fish move into better eat now before it gets cold mode. People talk about the lake “turning over” and indeed there is time when the water towards the surface gets cold and the water below is still fairly warm. Then it inverts and organic crud from the bottom rises to the top. Prior to that the catching is typically very good. That generally is now until the middle of October. Conditions vary of course based on what Mother Nature decides to do. If a trophy fish is on your bucket list, now is the time to put in some casts.

Ice normally tends to arrive in coves and on the West end first. We generally don’t see much until mid November. It is rare to ice fish on Thanksgiving but it has happened. Look to early December if we are lucky. We are already getting our ice fishing offerings on the store floor. Stop in for a pre ice fishing chat. We have our Ice Lazers and Tiny Tots on display now. Only available at the Marina since we make them ourselves.

TROUT:FAIR TO GOOD: Its still hit and miss. A bad bite day followed by a stellar day. Mostly Cuttbows ranging from 16” to 23”. Trolling is also hit and miss. The trick is changing up. One day something is hot and the next day it is not. Same with tube jigs. One day white is hot and the next it gets skunked. Changing up can’t be stressed enough. And when all else fails break out the nightcrawlers or Power Bait/Fire Bait. Afternoon has seen surprising good luck. Wind is better for the bite than calm.

KOKANEE SALMON: POOR: No news is bad news. Try if you like always worth a shot but much effort little benefit.

NORTHERN PIKE: VERY GOOD: Strong bite continues. Lots of medium size 28 to 31 inches. Bigger ones on the prowl and starting to attack. Big Sticks, and spoons doing well. Work 6 to 18 feet Rocky Flats, Stoll Mountain, Howbert Point and Witchers Cove. Many areas around the lake are seeing great Pike action and you don’t need a boat. Good numbers being caught from shore too. Lots of baits of different baits are working.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
