ELEVEN MILE OPENS FOR MOTORIZED BOATING APRIL 15

SPINNEY RESERVOIR OPENS FOR MOTORIZED BOATING APRIL 15 The lake will open for shore fishing and hand carry boats April 11 at 6:00AM

RESERVATIONS FOR WATERCRAFT RENTAL FOR 2025 SEASON NOW OPEN: Even though the lake opens to boating April 15 we probably won’t have rentals available until May 1. Lots of dock and prep work to be done and April weather can be challenging. It’s possible we may have a fishing boat or two ready in April but you would need to reserve those directly with our office. If you are interested in a Lund rental for April 19, 20, 26 or 27 call the Marina at 719-748-0317

PARK OPEN 24/7/365

CURRENT CONDITIONS: As of this writing we have no new snow although it was in our forecast. It’s actually been a pretty nice day on the cool side with occasional sun popping through the clouds. Spring time in the Rockies weather always changing.

PIC #1: Pretty Spring time fish at the Mile

PIC # 2: Certain lures and baits have their moments through out a season as days get longer and the water warms. We have always had successful catching on Rapala’s in the Spring Particularly on the Jointed although others do also produce. Here’s a pic from some in the Balsa series. The jointed ones really kick it.

PIC # 3: Getting ready for the Summer 2025 Season. Come visit our store or shop online for curbside pick up when boating season starts and hit the water without delay.

SEND US YOUR PICS: Catching Memories. See your smiling face on the Weekly Report

TROUT: GOOD: Shoreline action all around the lake. Last week was almost too windy to fish but when conditions cooperated so did the fish. Many different methods and baits are working. If you like catching big fish and who doesn’t now is the time to go. Dress for all conditions.

KOKANEE SALMON: NO REPORT

NORTHERN PIKE: We haven’t seen any yet. Water is too cold for them to be Spring spawning.

SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park.  Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
