TROUT:GOOD: Last day of boating is today but the last day of fishing is never here. And the last day of catching does not exist. Plenty of shore action to be had. Bait, flies, lures from shore all do well. Look to North Shore as a good bet as well as spots on the southside of the lake like Rocking Chair and Witchers Cove. November sees big spawning Brown Trout move up river. Cutthroats and Cuttbows spawn in the Fall and tend to be in coves around the lake.
KOKANEE SALMON: POOR: No good reports beyond fish moving up river. Lots of red in the the river to be sure. Some fun to be had.
NORTHERN PIKE: GOOD: Lots of great fish still being caught. Now is the time. Bites vary through out the day but late morning through most of the day have seen moments of greatness. You might even get an early morning one. We like North Shore, Howbert, Witchers Cove and East Bay. Sticks, spoons, streamer flies and time usually pay off from shore too! As the water cools the shallows see more bigger fish. You can catch big ones in 3 feet of water in windy conditions.
SPECIAL NOTE: 11 Mile Marina is located at the North Shore in Eleven Mile State Park, Lake George Colorado. A CPW Park Pass is required on all vehicles entering the Park. Any fees for Guide/Outfitter/Rental services do not include Park fees, CO fishing license or gratuities.
The WEEKLY FISHING REPORT is produced by fishermen for fishermen. We try to get it done every Thursday but some times fishing or life gets in the way.
